All courses accredited under the Athletics Australia system will be held by either Queensland Athletics, Sports Credentials & Department of Sport and Recreation Queensland. Athletics North Queensland will hold courses by demand, please contact ANQ on 07 4721 4998 if you have a group of coaches you wish to be accredited in the North Queensland region. Alternatively, please contact QA on 3343 5653 if you have a group of coaches who wish to become accredited and we may be able to offer a course to cater for your needs at your club/school.
If you coach exclusively for a Queensland Athletics club you can take adventage of discounts that apply for Queensland Athletics coaching courses. Athletics Australia and Queensland Athletics are currently working together to provide the most up to date coaching courses available. The final touches are being put on new coach accreditation courses, and therefore more information on upcoming courses will Available by 28 February 2013. School Coaches and Physical Education Teachers
The Department of Education and Training have declared Fosbury Flop as a high risk activity, requiring all coaches teaching this style of high jump at schools to become accredited with the Level 2 Athletics Australia Accreditation. This accreditation can be acquired through completion of a Level 2 Jumps Course or Club Coach Course. These courses will be available throughout the year as per the coaching calendar (Coming Soon). If school groups are able to provide between 10 and 15 participants, arrangements can be made to have a course presented by Queensland Athletics at the school. Prices for school groups is $293 per person, this includes an IAAF Manual, Jumps DVD, and Participant Manual for all participants to keep.
